Connecting with Other HS Patients

HS can be a lonely condition to live with. It can be hard or embarrassing to bring up the pain, itch, drainage, or odor you experience to friends or even family members. But you are not alone! More people than you may think have HS, and there are numerous support groups out there with individuals just like you looking to connect and feel understood. During Spotlight HS 2023, patient advocates Brindley Kons Brooks and Athena Gierbolini walked attendees through how to connect with other HS patients, where to look for support, and how to get involved.

There are so many times as HS patients, or even as caregivers, where you have questions that go unanswered. Maybe your dermatologist doesn't know the answer or you're too afraid to ask. Dr. John Frew led an Ask the Specialist session during Spotlight HS 2023 where attendees had the opportunity to ask their burning questions.
