2025 Dermatology Foundation Award Supports Pioneering Pediatric HS Research

March 7, 2025

The Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation, in collaboration with the Dermatology Foundation, is pleased to announce the 2025 recipient of the Dermatology Foundation Career Development Award in HS research. This year’s $55,000 grant has been awarded to Dr. Colleen Cotton of Children’s National Hospital for her project focused on phenotyping Hidradenitis Suppurativa in pediatric patients. As HS is increasingly recognized in children and teens, this work aims to improve early diagnosis, classification, and care for younger individuals living with the disease. The HS Foundation is proud to support this important research that fills a critical gap in our understanding of HS across the lifespan.
